Customer Service Plan

People in the Fifth know the value of steady work. That same standard should guide government — consistent effort, clear results, and accountability you can see. For more than twenty years I’ve built customer service strategies for organizations across the country, and I know what works: setting measurable standards, sticking to them, and holding people accountable until the job is done. When government applies that discipline, it delivers real service instead of excuses.

What Good Government Should Be

Government’s job isn’t to do what the private sector does better. It also isn’t there to put on a show for cable news. Good government is public service and steady work — the kind some would call boring. And that’s good. Because boring works. Spend money wisely, protect freedom, fix what’s broken, and let people get on with their lives. This district has gone without steady, boring service so long we’ve almost forgotten what it looks like. It’s time to bring it back.

Turning Priorities into Action

Big ideas mean nothing if you’re not at the table when decisions are discussed and made. That’s why I’ll work to serve on committees that directly impact the needs of this district, ensuring the Fifth is in the room when it counts.

Agriculture

I’ll seek a position on the Agriculture Committee to strengthen family farms, improve crop insurance, enhance disaster relief, and keep more food processing dollars here.

Transportation and Infrastructure

I will aim for a seat on the Committee on Transportation and Infrastructure to expand rural broadband, improve roads and rail, and make sure we get our fair share of the funding we’ve already paid in.

Small Business

I’ll push to serve on the Committee on Small Business to streamline processes, speed up permits, and help local businesses grow.

Energy and Commerce

I will seek a spot on the Committee on Energy and Commerce to support our leadership in nuclear energy, advanced manufacturing, and next-generation data projects, so communities see good jobs and lasting value.

Veterans’ Affairs

I’ll work to serve on the Committee on Veterans' Affairs to make sure veterans get real service, not endless runaround.

Daily Service You Can Count On

Big priorities only work if the daily service behind them works too. You pay for representation and you should get something for it. My office will commit to five clear standards:

Responsive Customer Service (Casework)

Every inquiry acknowledged within forty-eight hours, tracked securely, with regular updates until it is closed.

Local Access and Engagement

Monthly in-person open town halls. Mobile office hours in every county — advertised with plenty of notice and no appointment needed. Local advisory councils for agriculture, veterans, education, small business, and healthcare to shape priorities before decisions get made. Public calendar updated weekly.

Transparent Communication

Weekly reports on what the office is doing, plain-language explanations for every vote, and multiple ways to reach me: phone, email, mail, website, and live Q&A sessions.

Federal Grant Support

Full-time grant coordinator on staff. Local workshops, alerts, and one-on-one help from first draft to follow-up so schools, fire departments, and community projects do not get left out.

Emergency Readiness

Clear crisis protocols to mobilize quickly. Help with FEMA, USDA, and other agencies during disasters. Reviews afterward to strengthen the next response so mistakes do not repeat.
